07.20.08 - The Pacific Northwest
We're in Vancouver and are just beginning the six week process of recording music that is being molded into something more than just heavy songs. There's a spirit to the music that is almost tangible and we're awed that something like that can even happen. We were previously unaware of the possibility. We'll be letting you in on our progress at youtube.com/btavideos. Keep us in your prayers.

07.16.08 - BTA starts the recording of "Dichotomy"
The band is now all working and in pre-production with Devin Townsend on the new record. Much has already happened in the development of the 11 tracks we have written. For the first time, we feel like we're actually in a place that fits us, recording with a producer who understands us and have the instruments we need at our disposal. Every song has great vocal patterns, soaring solos and very heavy rhythmic sections. Synth, sitar and clean vocals are being mixed in for spice.

06.29.08 - Things change...BTA remains
With the studio quickly approaching, the time has come for the band to reveal a secret that we have kept for quite a while. This announcement contains both good news and bad news. According to tradition, we will give you the bad news first.
1. Alex is stepping down from his lead guitar post in BTA. Cornerstone this year will be his last show with us. He has been a huge asset to the band for over 2 years and will be missed by those of us in the band and fans of the band alike. Alex is going to be re-focusing all of his musical energy on Aletheian (myspace.com/aletheian). If you are going to be at Cornerstone this year make sure to stop by and say thank you to Alex for all that he has done for BTA. Alex will be posting a blog on his personal myspace when we get home from Cornerstone with more details, so make sure to check that out if you are interested.
2. The position of lead guitar has been filled by none other than Jon Star. For those of you who don't know, Jon was the original guitarist and primary songwriter on our first album "Terminate Damnation". The band is very excited to have Jon back and to have the original "BTA brain trust" back together. Seth and I have been working with Jon since December of last year writing new material for our 3rd album. Having Jon back in the lineup (along with the addition of our awesome new drummer Lopez) has reignited a fire in the band and the writing process has been an absolute blast. The new songs are the heaviest thing we have written to date and have more of a "Terminate Damnation" sound which should make a lot of our fans very excited. However, we are definitely not dropping the progressive edge and we can guarantee this album to feature all sorts of creative twists that no one will see coming.
We cant wait for the world to hear what we have been working on.

05.16.08 - Peel Your Wig Back, Suckas!
Well, after being the first band we know of to ever host a contest to find an opening band which was available to any unsigned bands, we've finally settled the lineup for the next tour. We're taking Beneath The Sky, Sea of Treachery and Afterimage (Congrats on winning the contest!). What does this mean? That Canadians have their first chance to see us in their motherland, that Afterimage will blow you all away and that finally we have a tour of all metal bands, which is kind of what we always want but are for some reason unable to get. Love you, see you soon!
